Prime Minister Bieber. You Heard It On Yahoo First.

I get this. I don’t like it, but I understand it and accept that it happened.

pop prince Justin Bieber was knocked over while meeting fans outside Macy’s in Herald Square.

Witnesses said an unknown male hopped over a barrier and pushed Bieber to the ground. Surely to the relief of “Beliebers,” the teenage pop sensation escaped the incident unscathed.

Here’s the piece I don’t get: Yahoo thinks this is a political story.

Embedded in the Bieber story is a link: 'For complete coverage of politics and policy, go to Yahoo! Politics'

Since Yahoo is too large and powerful to make mistakes, I figure this could be a trial balloon to launch Bieber’s political career. Could the small, wiry teen who once sang a song of some sort become Canada’s next Prime Minister? Or at least show up on C-SPAN?

The good news for Bieber: C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb doesn’t shove anybody.
