Reunited, and it Doesn’t Feel So Good

It’s been hard for me to even visit Wikipedia lately, what with that picture of Jimmy Wales staring holes into my skull. But it’s a new year and we’ve all got to pull together and do the hard things. Or at least notice when someone didn’t do the hard things. Like here, in the Wikipedia entry on TV’s “Hunter”:

Caption: Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer in a 1984 photograph together.

This is technically true; they’re in the photograph together. But “together” really doesn’t need to be pointed out… because they’re both in the photograph! It’s not like they were apart and are finally being reunited; they’re Hunter and Deedee McCall, not Peaches and Herb… or are they?

Hunter and Deedee are Peaches and Herb

Maybe Al Green was wrong – let’s not stay together.
