Another 25 Days of Holiday Songs: “Little Things” by ABBA

ABBA is back! And just when we maybe needed them most! The “Voyage” album really does sound like the band did in its late 70s/early 80s heyday, and that’s exactly what they were hoping we’d say. The band is planning a series of concerts where their parts will be performed by avatars – er, ABBAtars – that use 2020s motion capture but show the four as they looked in 1979, only in, like, Tron suits.

Which brings us to the first-ever ABBA Christmas song and the adorable video that accompanies it, where a group of kids tries, pretty successfully, to create their own ABBAtar technology, and end up taking the stage themselves as Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anni-Frid.

Also, ABBA is donating all the royalties for “Little Things” to the UNICEF Global Child Protection Fund. Billboard says they did the same for their hit “Chiquitita” and that raised almost $5 million for charity. Here’s another good song that may do some good along the way too.
