“Double Down” is a weird episode of Law & Order. When an armed robber kills a cop and takes a hostage, the prosecutors agree to a deal under duress to find out where the guy is before it’s too late. Then, detectives Briscoe and Curtis have to, shall we say, word their testimony carefully so they don’t undo Jack McCoy’s strategy to put the perp away.
