Died: December 26, 1972

See him: President Truman said he wanted to be buried in the middle of his presidential library, in case he felt like getting up and doing some work. As presidents usually do with their libraries, he got what he wanted, and so you can visit Harry and Bess in the courtyard of the Truman Library in Independence. Truman’s office is nearby, left just as it was when he used it; if he does pop up to take care of some business, he’ll be easy to spot.
