So this plane ride didn’t go as planned. Via The Consumerist:

A Swedish woman was in a bit of a troubling situation, after her rowmate died shortly after take off on a Kenya Airways flight. She flew from Europe to Tanzania and because there were no other seats available, she was stuck next to him.

The guy was apparently in bad shape before they took off, they tried to save him, it didn’t work, and then she had to stay in her assigned seat next to the dead guy because it was a full flight.

“Of course it was unpleasant, but I am not a person who makes a fuss,” she told the paper.

On the plus side, she did get half the cost of her trip refunded, which is not half bad.

And, y’know, she lived.
