I got another e-mail today from an esteemed Friend of noble Prince or Senator or Whoever and I choose you Random Friend to be a Friend to my Friend’s Money Friend Friend Friend:

I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the money he behind
before the fund is confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank
where he deposited sum of US$8.5 Pound sterling with First Trust Bank
the banking guidelines of First Trust Bank stipulates that if such money
remained unclaimed for over a period of time 8 years and few months with
the account unserviceable the money will be confiscated and this will
happen after the next one month if nobody comes for the money since I
have not seen he did not state
any next of kin on his file the bank has contacted me officially as the
Legal Attorney to my late client to provide and next of kin in other to
have the fund
paid.

I just did a little calculation thanks to something called the Internet, and these days the sum of 8.5 Pound sterling (which is actually not a US currency – am I ever smart) is worth $12.57.
