The house of the five (?) gables

Another busy construction day. How do these guys get so much work done in a single day? I guess we hired the right people for the job.

The house of the five (?) gables

We estimate that the house now has five gables. Although we’re not entirely sure what a gable is – we looked it up and it seemed like anything with a roof and a triangle shape counted as a gable. I’ll name the one on the right Clark.

Gables and dormers

We also have a dormer, which you can see on the right. We think it’s a dormer, anyway. When I looked that up I saw that some dormers are, in fact, gable dormers, and so I decided not to try learning any more terminology. They’re putting a second floor on the house, that much I know.
