The word of the year may be “permacrisis,” and there may be any number of catastrophes going on around us, but despite (or because?) of what a mess this year has been, we need our annual countdown of 25 holiday songs and this year that countdown is starting off with some rhythm!
Louis Prima and his band provide the rhythm here. And in a way, they also give us an important message: everybody’s focused on Santa coming on December 25th, but until that happens, it’s up to us to keep the party swinging. Let us get to that important work right away.
