I get to be back on New Hampshire Public Radio's Civics 101 podcast, AND I get to talk about the absolutely bonkers presidential election of 1876 between Rutherford B. Hayes and Samuel J. Tilden!
I came to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore, but that wasn't all I saw. Here are a few other favorites.
New York Governor Samuel Tilden did not serve as president, but depending on who you talk to, he did win the job.
Hayes's tomb isn't the biggest in the state, but there's something big to see in Fremont nonetheless.
